Queen Mary of Denmark’s beauty secrets: her skincare routine

Unfortunately, I don’t know much about Queen Mary’s exact skincare routine. However, I know she relies on the savoir-faire of Ole Henriksen. Indeed, he is a famous Danish beautician who opened a spa in Los Angeles. There, he welcomes many celebrities and socialites among his clients.

Also, Ole Henriksen believes that beauty comes first and foremost from inside. So, he advocates for:

  • a large consumption of water on a daily basis,
  • daily exercise,
  • and the use of cosmetics made with botanics to repair and protect the skin

If the future Queen of Denmark follows this advice, I guess we understand why she’s so radiant. She is a faithful user of Ole Henriksen’s brand, especially his Vitamin C line.

Queen Mary of Denmark’s beauty secrets: plastic surgery

Well, there are many rumors about Queen Mary’s plastic surgery operations. In particular, the rumor has it that she had a rhinoplasty, as well as Botox injections and fillers.

Well, I don’t know if she did for sure. However, if she did have plastic surgery, her surgeon is really gifted because the results are natural. Indeed, she doesn’t seem disfigured or not looking like herself. That’s why I always recommend to always favor quality over price.

If you must have plastic surgery, so be it! But don’t go for an unnatural look. Rather, ask for minimal and natural interventions.

Queen Mary of Denmark’s beauty secrets: her diet

Like current many royal women, Queen Mary eats a balanced diet. Indeed, she relies on the Danish Diet to keep a lean physique.

The Danish Diet speeds up the metabolism through the consumption of nutrient-rich foods. The foods you must eat on this diet are vegetables, fruits, lean protein, water, and unsweetened drinks. Moreover, snacks are not allowed on this diet.

For instance, here is a menu of the Danish Diet:

  • Breakfast: Unsweetened black coffee, eggs and spinach
  • Lunch: tuna salad
  • Dinner: chicken with carrots with lemon juice
  • No snacks

It’s funny because it really looks like the diet I’m currently following – the Paleo Diet! However, Queen Mary doesn’t deprive herself. Indeed, she has occasional lavish dinners, with a glass of wine in moderation. Life is short, so you must enjoy it!

Queen Mary of Denmark’s beauty secrets: her exercise routine

Like her fellow Australian Elle Macpherson, Queen Mary enjoys exercising outdoors. In particular, she enjoys walking, running, and swimming. She also plays tennis at charity events. Moreover, she hired a personal trainer to work out with her at least three times a week at her place.

And when you see her toned physique, you know that she really works for her body! She always looks regal, even in a bathing suit.

Queen Mary of Denmarks’s hair and make-up secrets

You may ask why I’m putting these two together. Well, it’s because in Queen Mary’s case, her make-up and hair are made by the same person. Indeed, Soeren Hedegaard has been in charge of her hair and make-up for more than 20 years. And you can say he did a great job!

Indeed, Queen Mary has a glossy mane that she sports loose during the day. And for official manifestations, she has the most regal buns I’ve ever seen. Really, her hairstyles are true masterpieces. I’m so sorry that her hairstylist announced his resignation…But I hope that her hairstyles will remain flawless!

As for her make-up, Queen Mary favors minimalism. Like many royal women, she doesn’t wear heavy make-up. Thus, she has a light make-up during the day; though she can go for a more dramatic look in the evening. However, her makeup is always tasteful and never loud.

Inside Queen Mary’s vanity case

This will be the emptiest vanity case ever on my website. However, I recommend you Ole Henriksen’s skincare products. Indeed, I’ve used them myself, and I must say that they’re the real deal. In particular, I recommend his Truth Serum Collagen Booster. Don’t hesitate to tell me if you want a deeper review of Ole Henriksen’s beauty products.

Conclusion: what can we learn from Queen Mary of Denmark’s beauty secrets?

To conclude, I’d say that Queen Mary of Denmark’s beauty secrets are rather accessible. Of course, you won’t have a personal make-up artist or beautician. However, you can follow a regular beauty routine involving daily skincare habits, exercise, and a balanced diet. If you already have that, you’re a winner, whatever your budget is!

Hi Elodie! Crown Princess Mary’s beauty secrets are surprisingly down-to-earth. I love that she focuses on inner wellness with daily exercise, a good dose of water, and using botanical cosmetics – the emphasis on inner wellness is something that’s deeply fondly for me. The Danish Diet she follows sounds doable and resembles the Paleo Diet. And, can we talk about her hair? Soeren Hedegaard’s artistry in both her hairstyles and makeup is impressive. The fact that she embraces minimalism in her makeup and enjoys outdoor exercises makes her approachable and relatable. Cheers to accessible beauty routines; which reminds me that I need to start mine!

I have had the pleasure of reviewing your post on Crown Princess Mary’s beauty secrets.  The first thing that struck me was the comment from Ole Henriksen who believes that beauty comes first and foremost from inside.  This is true and something that I have believed in for a long time.  In addition to consumption of water on a daily basis, daily exercise
and the use of cosmetics made with botanics, I would add that a healthy self-image is important as well.

I also found your reference to the Paleo diet interesting and I am guessing that you are right about her diet being similar to that.  The diet that my wife and I follow is similar too.  We are homesteaders on Canada’s east coast and, for the most part, we are food self-sufficient.  We produce all of our own vegetables without the use of pesticides or artificial fertilizers. We harvest and process them on the same day.  My wife Penelope then uses a vacuum sealer and they go into the freezer on the same day.  Processed foods in today’s world are not healthy!  Exercise, as you have quite rightly pointed out, is very important as well!  In short, as you say, exercise and a balanced diet are important and the nice thing about those things are that they are available to most people.  It is important that you have made reference to these things to encourage others to pursue their own path to health and beauty.  Thank you for sharing this entertaining post on the beauty secrets of Crown Princess Mary.

Thank you for sharing the beauty secrets of Princess Mary, and it is interesting to see that there to they have the benefit of great beauticians and products to keep them beautiful and give them advice.

Could you perhaps elaborate a little more on the Danish diet?

    1. admin says:

Thanks for your comment ! Yes I’ll write an article on the Danish Diet I promise

It is always interesting to read about the beauty regime of the rich and famous. With the abdication of the Danish queen, Crown Princess Mary will become queen Consort, so it is only natural that more people will be putting her under scrutiny, and wanting to know what she does to maintain her radiance and natural beauty.

Beauty always starts from within. With a healthy diet, drinking lots of water, and getting regular exercise, it forms the basis of any beauty regime. Add to that using natural products to help maintain the elasticity and youthfulness of your skin, and you are off to a head start.

I was not familiar with the Danish brand of Ole Henriksen, so will be having a closer look if it is available in Australia.

      Great, thanks !

As a fan of Crown Princess Mary, I’m intrigued by her skincare routine. This article mentions her emphasis on organic products, but I’m curious about specific brands she favors. Also, does she incorporate any traditional or local ingredients unique to Denmark? Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated, as I’m keen to understand the blend of natural and luxury elements in her regimen.

    1. admin says:
